గుజరాత్ సముద్ర తీరాన బయటపడిన నగరం తాలూకు అవశేషాలు క్రీ.పూ 7500 వని కార్బర్ డేటింగ్ తో తేలినవెంటనే కలకలం బయలుదేరింది. దానికి బలమైన కారణాలు చాలా వున్నాయి.ప్రపంచ చరిత్రకారులందరూ పదిలంగా కట్టుకున్న చరిత్ర కాలాల్ని,శకాల్ని మళ్లీ తిరగరాసుకోవాల్సి వస్తుంది. దాదాపుగా అన్నీ మార్చాలి. మొట్టమొదటి నాగరికత, మొ. మానవనిర్మిత నగరాలు, మొ. మట్టి పాత్రలు, ఇనుము వాడకం తెలిసిన జాతులు లాంటివన్నీ మళ్లీ తిరగరాసుకోవాలి. ఎందుకంటే పైన చెప్పిన వేవీ కూడా క్రీ.పూ. 5000 ముందు యేదీ జరగలేదు. అందుకే ఈ కలకలం, అయోమయం .

సముద్ర గర్భంలో లభ్యమైన వాటిని పరిశీలిస్తే ఇక్కడ Pottery , Iron అవశేషాలు, యెన్నో అద్భుతంగా చెక్కబడిన శిల్పాలు (Sculpture )అందంగా తీర్చిదిద్దినట్టుండే మానవ నిర్మిత అద్భుత నగరాలు, రాచముద్రికలు, గొప్ప నాగరికత వెలసిల్లినదనటానికి ఎన్నో ఆధారాలు కనబడ్డాయి.

ఇవి సరిపోవా ప్రపంచంలోకెల్లా అత్యంత ప్రాచీన నాగరికత మన దేశంలోనే విలసిల్లినదని, అదీ మిగిలిన జాతుల్లన్నీ ఆటవిక దశల్లోనే మగ్గుతున్నప్పుడు.

Jan 16, 2002 లో కేంద్రప్రభుత్వం అధికారికంగా ఒక ప్రకటన విడుదల చేసింది. గుజరాత్ దగ్గిర కాంబే తీరాన జరిపిన Excavations లో లభ్యమైన అవశేషాలు క్రీ.పూ.7500 మని తేల్చిచెప్పాయి. అప్పటి శాస్త్ర సాంకేతికశాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ మురళీ మనోహర్ జోషి పత్రికా ప్రకటన విడుదల చేస్తూ

‘The Scientists found piece of wood, remains of pots, fossi bones and what appeared like construction material just off the coast of Surat, some of these artifacts recovered by the National Institute of Ocean Technolology from the site, such as the log of wood, fossil bones, date back to 7595 BCE which is indicative of a very ancient culture in the present Gulf of Combay, that got submerged subsequently. Current Belief is that the first Development of Cities appeared around 3500BCE in the valley of Sumer, where Iraq now stands’

‘We can safely say from the antiquities and the acoustic images of the geometric structures that there was human activity in the region more than 9,500 years ago (7500BC)’ – Archeologist Dr. S.N.Rajguru.

The site was discovered by chance last year by oceanographers from India’s National Institute of Ocean Technology conducting a survey of pollution. Using side-scan sonar which sends a beam of sound waves down to the bottom of the ocean they identified huge geometrical structures at a depth of 120ft. Debris recovered from the site-including construction material, pottery, section of walls, beads, sculpture and human bones and teeth has been carbon dated and found to be nearly 9500 years old.

2002 లో చరిత్ర పునరావృతమైంది. 2003 లో పూర్తి స్థాయి లో పరిశోధన చేపట్టాలని ఒక కమిటీ వేసుకుందామనుకున్నారు. యిది 2008. మధ్యలో ఐదేళ్లు గడిచాయి.

ఏం జరగలేదు.

జరగటానికి ఇది యే మంత్రి బర్తరఫో, సీట్ల సర్దుబాటో కాదు. యే సెలబ్రిటీ రహస్యపెళ్ళో కాదు. వరల్డ్ కప్ క్రికెట్ అంతకన్నా కాదు.

ఇది చరిత్ర.

ప్రపంచ చరిత్ర గతినే మార్చగల మన వారసత్వం .

అదే మన అలసత్వమని నిట్టూర్చటం కంటే యింకేమీ చేయలేం.
